I pay for norton. I dont believe there is a ''true'' free antivirus program thats not full of spyware.
I have used AVG free for about two years and never had any problems. It can be downloaded here

Avast is the best i know. AVG wasn't to bad although its no longer going to be free soon I'm told.

Avast comes highly recommended by a friend of mine who runs a computer business. Its free three is a pro version you pay for but the free version is just fine.
