About Windows XP task bar and AVG anti virus?

I have a Windows XP.

The task bar is single width.

How to make it double width?

Catching and dragging doesn't work...

Q.2 - I have also AVG free edition anti virus, but the option anti virus itself is not active. Updating or uninstalling and installing back again gives no result.

I get every time answer (when trying to update) - ''The server name cannot be converted to the IP address''

Could anybody help?

Thx in advance.

Unlock your taskbar by right clicking it then you are able to drag the task bar up in order to fit more things on it.

As for your Anti Virus software, it seems as if there may be a problem with your DNS server possibly contact your ISP, are you only having this IP converted issue with this software or is it in your entire network?

I accidentally ingored a keylogger virus on my anti-virus software scan. What do I do?

I accidentally clicked to allow all keylogger files onto my computer, not knowing what it was at first. How do I get my anti-virus software to not allow a keylogger?

You should be able to go into the anti-virus software and disable or remove that exception and then force a re-scan. Usually when you allow that causes the software to remember that action, and it's usually saved in an exceptions area of the software. Find that exception and remove it, then force a manual scan of your machine.

Go back and do the same thing you did when you allowed it.

Or Do a Search for Keyloggers on your System
run the anti-virus again and remove it. done.

10 points please
Easiest might just be to reinstall. Othere look for exclusions and deselect the virus.

Before you do anything else on your computer download, install and scan with AVG Free this should remove any keyloggers.

I have AT&T online protection , Can I download another Anti-virus program or will they clash?

I have AT%26T online protection (Yahoo-SBC) It doesn't seem to work well at all.I asked a question earlier this week about free anti-virus, anti-spy downloads and got some good answers.

My question now is...I downloaded AVG anti-virus and anti-spy plus Ad-Aware SE.and it doesn't seem to make a difference in my computers performance. It's still really bad....are they interfering with each other and what should i do next to try and solve this issue?

I have AT%26T online protection , Can I download another Anti-virus program or will they clash?norton ghost

Don't use two anti-virus programs on your computer at once as that has been know you cause problems. Get rid of one of the programs and just stick with one (I recommend sticking with AVG. I use it and it has preformed better that Norton, Trend Micro, etc.)

And it sounds like you may have viruses and/or spyware on your computer. Run a virus scan and a spyware scan. This is a good one to scan for spyware: http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Pers...

Also, with spyware scanners, pop-up blockers, etc., it's safe to have more that one of each on your computer. In fact, it's a good idea, as having more that one increases you chances of dectecting spyware and all that junk. I also recommend using Windows Defender: http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security... with Adaware.

Have you heard of security shield anti virus?

Last week i got rid of my norton internet security 07, as i havent been happy with it for a while now, i purchased one called securtiy shield 2008 and after its first scan it found 82 trojans and viruses hiding in the system restore information folder (which said it was empty), has anyone else heard of or tried this anti virus before and what do you think.

Thanks

No, %26 I suspect because it's pay as you go it will continue to find lots %26 lots of reasons for you to keep paying for it.

AVG is free. %26 you can get a second opinion by using the free scan %26 removal online tool at trendmicro.com called housecall. I have been using avg for yrs %26 never had a problem.

Have you heard of security shield anti virus?spyware removal

PC Security shield is a copy of F-Secure Internet Security, but without direct support from F-Secure. F-Secure itself makes a product comparable in quality to Norton, though IMHO a bit more reliable. Since PC Security Shield essentially just puts its own branding on F-Secure, I expect it will perform as well as F-Secure.
Good move getting rid of Norton internet security, I did too.

A Google search on Security shield 2008 shows it has no reputation with the major outlets. I wouldn't trust it.

I have been using the free but highly recommended: Zonealarm firewall, Antivir antivirus, AdAware, Spybot, and AVG Antispyware.

Between them they have kept my 2 computers completely free of malware.

All of the above have a very good, solid reputation in computer magazine reviews.

As you can see, I scan with more than one anti-spyware. No one anti-spyware is 100% all of the time.

I do Internet banking, so am very careful about security - paranoid? - probably.

Peace of mind? Very high !

What is the best free spyware/anti virus programs?

Can anyone help me? I need a good free spyware/ anti virus program for my computer. I also need one that can detect any spyware or virus that I might already have. Please help. And only serious answers please, since I am talking about a computer and I do have a child in my home so I would like something that is going to protect my computer but more importantly I want something that is going to protect my child from all the nasty slime on the internet

  • Where can I download a free Anti-Virus for my P.C ?

I have viruses and I need to delete them, What is a free anti virus program that will clean my files? I downloaded Stop Sign ..but it wont clean my computer until pay...can anyone help?

Where can I download a free Anti-Virus for my P.C ?norton

AOL Active Virus Shield powered by Kaspersky is currently the best free anti-virus (99.62% detection rate). The most popular free anti virus programs are AVG Free and Avast which are recommended above Norton and McAfee but have poor detection rates (82.82%, 87.46% respectively). Norton is notoriously bloated and takes forever to perform full systems scans. If you want to pay for an anti-virus NOD32 is highly recommended. You can download AOL Active Virus Shield, AVG or Avast from the links below. There is absolutely no spyware and they are completely free but your system should only have one anti-virus program.

I downloaded a FREE anti-virus that was recommended by Martin Lewis Money Expert. It as supposed to be free for a few weeks but that was 3 months ago. It is called AVG. type AVG free download into your search engine and just download it. Every morning when I turn my computer on, it does a scan. If your free time runs out just move onto the next one. Good Luck
