How do I temporarily disable anti-virus software?

In order to install a new printer I have to diable any anti-virus software. Where do I find it, in Programs? Also, is it easy to enable again?

Depending of the program, but if you righ click on the bottom right on the screen on the virus icon then you can exit.

Others its CtrlShift righth click.

Just right click on the icon next to the clock. You will have an option to either suspend/stop it, or to turn it off.

To turn it back on, just click the icon (if it were just stopped) to resume, or go to Start %26gt; Program %26gt; to your anti-virus program.

If you have to restart your PC, the anti-virus program will automatically restart.
Should be able to do it from the sys tray. If not click start,program files find your anti-virus and launch it the locate how to disable it.
If you have a anti-virus icon in your System Tray then right click on it and select Disable.
you open the antivirus software. Look on the task bar, right click, open it. The look for disable.

When you reboot, you will need to enable it.
