I have the the norton anti virus thing help!?

ok i have the norton anti virus protecton but it already expired but it still scans. but my internet doesnt work but the people 4rm sbc says its probaly norton thats blocking it cuz limewire still works and so does myspace im . the page doesnt work so i want to delete norton but what if its not that and it could still scan . i try 2 disable it but it frozes so that doesnt help! ill give you 10 pts if u help!

If it's expired you won't be getting regular updates for one thing. I'm not sure if the whole product still keeps working or it disables parts of it. Anyway, probably better to remove it and get a free anti-virus like AVG or avast and free firewall like Safety.net or Comodo. They're all listed here:

Some free anti-virus progs actually outperform Norton anyway.

By the way, I used to have Norton and had a few troubles with it, so I switched to the free stuff when it expired a few years back.

Did your norton come with a firewall? Check %26 see if it is blocking internet explorer or whatever program you use to get onto the internet. Occasionally norton will ask if a certain program should be blocked from accessing the internet.... so you might have clicked no %26 accidently blocked access.
uninstall the norton antivirus from the add/remove program and buy a spyware software from http://www.geeksjunction.com
Hi. SBC is a telecommunications company. Since it is not a virus then Norton should not block it. See if you can change the filter in Norton to allow SBC. (I am not a Norton fan, BTW.)
Unless you got other anti-virus software, you better buy a new licence from Norton or buy a new version of Norton.
