How can I prevent my Anti-virus software from running when I'm in a middle of an important task

My firm requires that we run anti-virus software on all of our PC's. In the factory, we run tests on a product line. Normally, if it ran at night; no big deal. However, if we are in the middle of a test run, then the production line is stopped. We run the line at odd hrs. We can't pick a perfect time. Besides, sometimes it runs regardless when a new update is avail. Is there a way to flag the software from running if we are in the middle of test.

that will not hurt any thing

but im think your concern is it slows you down trying to do other things

you don"t know your virus software

but im sure as mine

you have the option to uncheck automatic updates etc

and choose manual updates or a time to update scan etc

although it is a work place

you may need administrator rights etc

ask them where these options are
