How can i deactiviate my anti-virus,or stop scanning my email?cafe racer
Most Anti-Virus programs will have an icon in the lower right-hand corner of your screen (next to the clock)...
If you RIGHT-click on the icon and go into PROPERTIES you will be able to turn off all or some features.
This is assuming that you are not using a work machine.
Most workstations configured by an employer will disable the employee's ability to access these options and will oftentimes hide the icon so that it is not seen.
If this is the case, you would need administrator privileges to your machine.
I am not sure why you would want to turn off anti-virus to your email This is not a wise move. If your anti-virus is slowing down the machine, you may have it configured to do intense scanning (ie, hueristic) which can cause scanning to take a long time. If anti-virus is causing THAT much of a slowdown to your maching... My advice would be to upgrade your machine... You could first look into upgrading your ram, but if that's not the problem, a faster processor would be the way to go.
