my NOD 32 anti virus expired and i removed it from my comp using the option add/remove programs. i have installed AVG now but the NOD 32 anti - virus is still there though it's not active. i manually deleted files of NOD 32 but some files arent getting deleted...... what to do?

Some files where not deleted when you removed the anti-virus program. here's a tip that usually works in finding out where the remaining files are so that you can manually delete them.
Go to start and type "NOD 32" in Search under "for files and folders". click search and wait for the results to appear in the result pane (right hand side window). When the search is terminated look for any files related to the Nod 32 . Right click on each one found and delete from the drop down menu. Do this for every file that you find in the list.

If you go to start and then to all programs you can right click on the program you want to remove if you select delete you will get an add remove programs option. DO NOT us the delete short cut option it will leave the program on there but you will not see the icon on your deck top.
Most Anti virus softwares will ask for restart upon Uninstallation , if you have manually deleted the files then it will not complete uninstall , try regedit to remove all traces
