I have used McAffee av, Norton av, PCCyllin, AVG, and of them all, I have had to most success with Norton. I installed Norton 5 years ago and have not been invaded again since that time. I also use Zone Alarm Pro firewall with it for really good security.

Norton Anti-virus 2007 is at the top of the line right now. You will hear a lot of recommendations for AVG Anti-Virus, which is good.. but if your a constant web surfer, you need something stronger. Go with Norton Anti-Virus 2007, you can also install it on any three different computers.
AVG - Free good for me I perfer it takes up less resources on machine

Commodo - Free and good also

Norton - huge resource hog and costs too much
I use AVG Free for viruses and have recommended it to many friends.

I also use, spybot search and destroy and ad-aware 2007

I have had no problems with any of these programs and i have used them for a few years now.
